Sea Scout Ship 9 – Summer Cruise

July and time for Sea Scouts to go Cruising following in the time-honored tradition of our land based brethren – familiarly known as Dirt Scouts – who head off to their Summer Camp. Our boat is multi-functional; it’s our transportation and accommodation. And, this year we headed south to Santa Cruz and Monterey Bay and then back to Alameda via Pier 39, Angel Island, Benicia, Pittsburg, Walnut Grove, and Sacramento. 

The summer cruise is the perfect opportunity to put into practice those lessons learned during the rest of the scouting year with a strong emphasis on youth leadership, maritime, and life skills with an emphasis on having fun while learning along the way!
