Getting Started with Movo AI
Movo helps your unit connect with families interested in Scouting by answering common questions and following up. When a family needs personal assistance, Movo alerts you.
Your role: Keep your unit information current and respond when Movo needs your help.
Hosted a sign-up night or interest activity? Movo can follow up with families who attended. Share your attendance list with your district professional or [email protected] to get started.
1. Access Your Unit
If you don’t have access to your unit, contact your district professional or email [email protected].
2. Add Your Unit’s Information
Review your BeAScout pin for accuracy. In Movo, open Knowledge, select your unit, and add the details families ask about most:
- Meetings: Days, times, frequency, and the next meeting date.
- Location: Full address, entrance, and parking instructions.
- First visit: How to attend, what to wear or bring, and whether a parent or guardian stays.
- Costs: Fees, what they cover, and how to pay.
- Upcoming activities: Dates and details for meetings and joining events.
- Unit contact: Name, role, and email or phone number.
- Who can join: Ages or grades served and space available.
Use Add what Movo should know, then select Add to knowledge. Keep each entry focused on one topic and place unit-specific information at your unit’s level. Update it whenever details change.
3. Set Your Notifications
Go to Settings → Notifications and choose email alerts, text alerts, or both. To receive texts, add your mobile number first.
Movo notifies you when a family requests personal help or asks a question it cannot answer. Follow the notification link to review the conversation.
4. Check “Needs You”
The Needs You page lists families waiting for assistance, with the longest-waiting families first.
- Select Reply to read the conversation and respond.
- For a Knowledge gap, select Answer to provide missing information.
- If someone else should help, use Assign to route the request.
- If you resolved it by phone or another method, select Mark as complete.
If your response asks a question or promises follow-up, Movo stays quiet while you handle the conversation. Select Hand back to Movo when you’re finished.

What Happens Automatically?
Movo follows up with families who have not responded and answers them when they write back. Most check-ins are texts; calls depend on your organization’s setup.
To see the next planned follow-up, open a family’s conversation and look under Coming up. Select Pause if you need Movo to stop reaching out and replying to that family.
