Trevor Bormann – NESA Territories Alumnus of the Year Award
The Golden Gate Area Council – Scouting America proudly congratulates Trevor P. Bormann on being named one of just four recipients of the prestigious 2026 Territories Alumnus of the Year Award. Representing Territory 3, Bormann is recognized nationally for his exceptional leadership, innovation, and lasting contributions to Scouting alumni engagement and communications.
An Eagle Scout from the legacy San Francisco Bay Area Council, Bormann has long demonstrated a deep commitment to the mission and values of Scouting America. He is a founding member of both the San Francisco Bay Area and Golden Gate Area Councils’ National Eagle Scout Association (NESA) Committees, helping to strengthen alumni networks and engagement across the region.

In his role as Vice President of Marketing and Communications for the National Eagle Scout Association, Bormann has led a comprehensive modernization of the organization’s digital presence and communications strategy. His leadership has driven a full-scale digital transformation, including:
• Enhancing mobile accessibility across NESA platforms
• Converting award applications into fully digital, user-friendly formats
• Establishing consistent national branding standards
• Relaunching the Eagles’ Call Insider, NESA’s flagship digital magazine
These advancements have significantly improved accessibility, engagement, and the overall user experience for Eagle Scout alumni nationwide.

Beyond his work with NESA, Bormann serves as the lead developer of Scouting America’s Council Support platform, a critical national tool designed to strengthen local council operations, communications, and training. Through this work, he continues to shape the future of Scouting by supporting councils across the country with innovative solutions that enhance program delivery, volunteer engagement, and organizational effectiveness.
