SF Bike Rodeo returns for its 5th Year
Free Youth Bike Safety Event | Golden Gate Area Council, Scouting America.
Now in its 5th year, the San Francisco Bike Rodeo has become one of the Bay Area’s most impactful youth safety events—growing to serve over 100 participants annually and continuing to expand through strong community partnerships. A Proven Event Helping Youth Ride Safer.
At this year’s event, youth will:
• Learn essential bike safety skills, including navigating traffic and using hand signals
• Receive bike and helmet safety inspections from trained mechanics
• Participate in a guided group ride through the Lakeshore neighborhood
• Enjoy an optional family ride around Lake Merced
Merit Badge Opportunities:
Scouts BSA participants can earn:
• Traffic Safety Merit Badge (Partial)
• Disability Awareness Merit Badge (Complete)
This event is made possible through collaboration with leading organizations, including the California Highway Patrol, San Francisco Fire Department, San Francisco Police Department, San Francisco Sheriff’s Department, San Francisco EMS Agency, San Francisco General Hospital Injury Prevention Team, San Francisco MUNI, Sports Basement, Wheel Kids, and Stonestown Galleria.
