2026 National Jamboree

All Scouts and Scouters in
Golden Gate Area Council, Piedmont Council, and Greater Yosemite Council.

This is Scouting’s flagship event. It's unique, it's special, it's a forever memory. A remarkable gathering of some 20,000 Scouts, unit leaders, and staff  showcasing all the very best of everything that Scouting America has to offer to its members.

The 2026 National Jamboree at the Summit Bechtel Reserve takes place from July 22-31, 2026 preceded by two days touring Washington DC and Philadelphia. We will  update this page regularly as  plans for our contingent evolve.

Members of ScoutsBSA 12 years or older and members of Venturing will be eligible to attend as participants. Plans are in the works for Exploring members to be able to attend on the Jamboree Staff/Jamboree Service Team (JST).

Expectations . . .

 Adhere to a signed code of conduct.
 Attend unit meetings
Attend 1-2 contingent outings

 MUST attend Shakedown campout on he weekend of May 23-25, 2026 - Location TBD
 MUST have Medical forms A, B & C. There may also be an additional health advisory form required by the National Jamboree

Local Scout Councils Register Jamboree Contingents

We hope to be one of the largest contingents of Scouts to attend the National Jamboree. We are set-up currently  for 2.5 Units' Units are set up as follows:

  • Full Unit is 36 Scouts & 4 Adult Leaders
  • Half Unit is 18 Scouts & 2 Adult leaders

We are looking for male and female Scouts BSA, Sea Scouts and Venture Scouts participants.

The contingent will travel prior to the start of the Jamboree to tour sites around Philadelphia and the Washington DC area.

To attend the National Jamboree, a Scout must:

  • Be a currently registered member of Scouting America in a Scouts BSA troop, Venturing Crew or Sea Scout Ship:
  • If attending as a member of Scouts BSA, a Scout must be at least 12 years of age and no older than 17 years of age.
  • If attending as a member of a Venturing Crew or Sea Scout Ship, a Scout must be at least 13 years old and have completed the eighth grade or is age 14 and not yet 21 years of age.

Besides the registration cost for the Jamboree experience itself, there are many costs that are incurred in preparation for the event. A budget has been set in the amount of $4950 per participant along with a tentative payment schedule.
Offsetting the cost of the trip is possible with fundraising, donor support or even gifts in kind like pooled airline miles can make a difference in the cost of travel.

 Deposit due at Registration: $950
  2nd payment due 8/1/2025: $1300
   3rd payment due 11/30/2025: $1300
   Final payment due 2/8/2026: $1400

One Norcal Contingent patch is included with each registration.

  • Airfare to and from the East Coast
  • Luggage fees
  • Hotel and security
  • Jamboree training, meetings, and other events
  • Jamboree gear, including all troop/crew specific gear (unit numerals, hats, shirts, jackets, daypack, duffle bag, patches)
  • Jamboree event fee
  • Dedicated Scouting professional and support staff to facilitate and assist in a successful Jamboree experience
  • Bus transportation to all tour locations and to and from Jamboree with dedicated bus drivers
  • A tour team to organize and facilitate all touring aspects
  • Costs associated with tour events prior to the Jamboree
