Scouting for Food is a Council-wide service project, benefitting local food banks and charities. Scouts from all over the country collect food for this event as a part of scouting’s emphasis on community service. Over two weekends, scouts in the council hang flyers door to door and then follow up by collecting food donations that go to those in need. This is a great opportunity to give back to the local community, as well as bring visibility to scouting and its service-oriented nature.
